Resolution Update

So don’t mind me as I have had about a half a bottle of wine at the moment, but I figured a resolution update was in order.

January’s goals:

-Write 10,000 words on my work-in-progress novel (that should complete it, but we will see where the characters take me!)
= I have written about 15,000 words, and I think I still have about 10,000 more to go! Ah! Darn characters are taking me on another ride, 75,000 words deep! I will hopefully have an excerpt ready for you all in the next few weeks.

-Blog weekly =)
= I’ve definitely kept to this promise! 😀 One of the resolutions I am sincerely glad I have kept to this since it has become such a therapeutic remedy to the stresses of the week. (Please remember the bottle of wine I am determined to finish tonight.)

-At least one date with Hubby
= Complete. ❤ It was the first weekend our daughter spent away from home, and although we missed her terribly, we slept like a newborn, got our house back in order, and spent some mommy/daddy time together that we had been missing for some time now.

-10 minutes of me time a day (in which I will probably blog or write)
= Still a work in progress, but as you can tell with this wonderful glass of sangria in my hand, it surely is working! Everyone needs to understand the power 10 minutes!

-Wean my daughter (already started, but I would like to finish this item this month)
= DONE! Reason why this bottle of wine is open! She is just getting over another illness, and momma needs her 10 minutes as stated above. If I complete the above:

-Lose 8lbs. (I know, it’s on everyone’s list, but I’m serious!)
= OK, I’ve tried starting this resolution, but I am really going to have to rethink my
choice of diet/exercise plan. The old plan of 800 calories and 30 minutes on an elliptical which I used before I became pregnant just is not going to work for me anymore. I am either going to have to go back to the program I used before and see what they recommend, or do some hard research to find a new program. Any recommendations would be great!

At this ending note, my glass is empty, my mind is fuzzy, and whatever was just playing on TV has come to an end. I’ll take that as my signal to sign off and bid you adieu, so that I can fill my glass and find my characters on their next journey to hopefully end this project! Goodnight, and I hope you find 10 minutes in your life to spend on just you.
